If I told you there’s a way to talk to the person’s subconscious mind directly, without her conscious mind ever critically evaluating what you say and having her immediately do what you “command” — would you be interested in learning it?
As you may know, we possess two distinct minds: The conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The first is the thinking and analytical mind that makes decisions and the second is the reactive mind that works in a “stimulus-response” fashion and is there to, without question, fulfill every task the conscious mind tells it to.
The subconscious mind also stores long-term memories, our values, beliefs and so on. It also contains emotions and through them communicates with the conscious mind.
Every new piece of relevant information (something someone says, etc.) is first analyzed by the conscious mind (it’s so called ‘critical faculty’) and this mind then determines whether this information is true or false and if it should be impressed to the subconscious mind and whether any weight should be put to it or not.
All this happens through an extremely fast and complex ‘loop’ of back-and-forth communication between the conscious and the subconscious mind.
So… If I did a magic trick and said that I was a real magician who can do real magic, this info would be (after pre-conscious processing) deemed as relevant and put in analysis to the critical faculty of the conscious mind…
This critical faculty would then ‘contact’ the ‘values and beliefs’ area of the subconscious mind and compare my statement of being a real magician with the values and beliefs stored there. The statement would then be seen as untrue and the critical faculty would then reject the proposed statement and you would still think that I’m an ordinary human being.
If, however, your beliefs were different (you believe in real magic), then you could believe the statement and see me as someone capable of doing real magic.
Now… How can we bypass the critical faculty so that EVERYTHING we say will be accepted as true and stored in the subconscious mind?
Before I reveal the secret, let me tell you an interesting quick story that will make things much more clear afterwords…
“It was a wonderful, warm June afternoon and I was in this cute French-style caffee with a few close friends of mine. We met there every day after a whole day of studying in a nearby library. It was a few days to my final exam of the year. The exam was titled “Medical physiology” and was one of the hardest exams that year.
Anyway, the four of us sat outside under one of those huge umbrellas that create a pleasant shadow and we were behind a relatively small, square wooden table. A cool breeze would come every now and then and would take away the heat for a little while. We were planning a holiday trip for after the exams were over and I was telling my friends what we should do and was giving each an individual assignment so that we’d all contribute and make the trip as pleasurable as possible.
Just as we were laughing hard at a joke my friend just told and I was about to tap him on his shoulder to congratulate him, something very strange happened…
Out of the blue came this great looking brunette that seemed familiar, but I didn’t know where to put her. She was coming to our table with a loud “Hey!” and waving her hands and with this beautiful smile that would put anyone in a deep trance.
When she came closer she obviously wanted to hug me so I stood up a bit confused by everything. She jumped on me, accidentally kicking one of the chairs, and squeezed me so hard that I had trouble breathing for a few seconds.
It turned out that she was at my female friend’s (from school) party almost a year ago and we had a long talk because she was very depressed. I remembered that we must have talked for an hour in one of the dark corners and every 5 minutes there was someone trying to get us to dance and drink. But we talked and talked and I used some covert hypnosis on her to try to help her. After that, we went to party and that’s the last time we saw each other.
So… here she was, all excited and glowing. She said she got my number from my friend and wanted to gather the courage to call me for months. But since she knew I had a girlfriend she was afraid I wouldn’t want to do anything.
She thanked me and told me that every day since then she was beginning to feel better, have nicer thoughts and managed to “trash” some things that were “haunting” her from the past.
I was floored. I love to help and do it all the time, but in her case I thought it would take a lot more than some covert hypnosis. Guess I was wrong. This was one of the best days of that year and I still think about it often. It was also a defining moment where I made a promise to myself to help as many people that want my help as I can.”
Did you read the story?
How would you describe me in a few words after reading the story? Consult your feelings!
As you might have guessed… the secret to bypassing the critical faculty so that EVERYTHING we say will be accepted as true and stored in the subconscious mind is to tell a believable, interesting and captivating story.
If I just said to you at the beginning of this article: “I am a confident man with leader characteristics. I attract beautiful women and am used to them to the point that I forget where I met them. I study medicine. I am a good person with the capability and wish to helping people. Plus, I’m humble ;)”… Would you have believed a word? Well, maybe a word, but I’d still seem obnoxious and self-centered.
But after reading the story you probably didn’t even consciously think about these traits… you just subconsciously built a very positive image of me and that’s exactly what I wanted you to do. Everything was so covert.
You see, it’s very hard to detect covert hypnosis and that’s one of the best things about it.
Hope you got a lot out of this article. Have a great time!
