The Samsung Galaxy features a 4 "inch Super AMOLED screen (different from ordinary AMOLED), a processor having 1 GHz speed, a 5 MP camera that produces high definition recording and is the first mobile to have the Smart Life UI. I was dumbstruck when I had my mobile first on my hand. It was an exhilarating feeling that I had.
The Samsung Galaxy S was so thin and was less in weight when compared to all other smart phones. This is because of the Super AMOLED display technology, where the touch sensors are placed upon the display itself when compared to the older version Samsung phones which had the sensors placed on a separate layer above the display. The graphics and the multimedia functions of the mobile gives High Quality experience.
Just imagine playing games, watching videos and other multimedia applications on the 4 "inch display screen will give you lot of entertainment on the go. This Samsung Galaxy allows you to play back HD videos and all kinds of other video formats. The dimension of the mobile is 64.2 X 122.4 X 9.9 mm and it weighs 119 g only. it has got multiple home screens and widgets for you to have a quick access on various functions and to perform multi tasking.
This handset has got the 3G technology which lets you to do 3G video calling and has got HSUPA 900/1900/2100, EDGE / GPRS 850 / 900/1800/1900 network supportability which lets you to enjoy the Data connection services.
The Smart Life User Interface of the Galaxy S provides you new ways to enjoy the social networking like face book and twitter. Just like the Touch Wiz UI of other Android mobiles and Windows phones, Smart Life is also more responsive to user touches.
Just like all other Top mobile producers, Samsung has also developed its own Social Networking features for this mobile device. The Social Hub takes care of your text and FB messages with the same UI. Smart Life has got another feature called Daily Briefing, which will keep you updated about the things happening around you like weather reports, latest news, DLNA media sharing and Smart Alarm. Like HTC, Motorola and Sony Ericsson, Samsung has designed its own social network
Though this has got only touch screen keypad, it was really easy for me to type text messages and face book messages. The Layar Reality Browser in the Galaxy will provide you with a lot of augmented reality contents and also various other location-based services (Google Goggles). Based on the memory space that you need for storing your multimedia content you can get an 8 GB model or a 16 GB model and it can be extended up to 16 GB using microSD card.
