The days of the standard mobile phones were numbered when Apple first released their own version of the cellular. Though the competitors were introducing something new or the other every year, the entire concept of mobile phones were changed with the advent of the iPhone 2.2.1 that boasted of iTunes. However there was another giant who was waiting behind the wings. It was not long before the search engine giant, Google, also came out with their own cellular phones nicknamed Android.
A huge battle started amongst these 2 giants and 2 distinct groups of users emerged in the world with one siding with Apple and the other with Google. There was no doubt that the Android had features that were far better than that of the iPhone 2.2.1. However, the leadership of the search engine giant was not going to last long with Steve Jobs and his innovative men working hard to release a new version of their mobile phone. It was not long before the iPhone 3.0 was released and this helped push back the advantage to the Apple camp.
Those who are comparing the iPhone vs Andriod will find the following points interesting. These points go to show why the latest version of mobile phones manufactured by Apple is far better than those manufactured by Google. Here are the features that are only found in the iPhone.
• Phone wide search
• Calendar search
• VoIP (Voice over the Internet Protocol) (available to applications)
• Video recording facilities (coming in cupcake)
There is no need for the loyal fans of Google to get upset with the above statistics. There still are various features which are only available with the Android. A list of these features is provided below.
• Peer to Peer Bluetooth connectivity
• Built in notepad
• Parental Controls
• Accessory application support
• Multiple notifications
• Stereo Bluetooth A2DP audio
As things stand now, both these giants are more or less at par with each other but with both of them fighting hard to have the upper hand and rule the mobile world, things are only going to get better for the end user. It is still too early to say which one of these 2 models is better. The fact remains that both these manufacturers have their own loyal base who will not touch the phone of the opposition. There are a few points in with both these phones are not adequate or rely on 3rd party applications and they are as follows:
• Application notifications
• 3G tethering
