I had a lot of uses for my wood chipper, but rarely used it because it was so obnoxiously loud. Because I work during the week, I most often used the chipper on weekends, usually when the rest of the afternoon was relaxing to afternoon naps and leisurely glasses of lemonade. I felt like I was disrupting the peace and quiet of the whole neighborhood. I could feel it in my neighbor’s eyes every time we passed each other in and out of driveways. Plus, this time I decided to do it right and opted for the electric wood chipper. It removed all the hassle and mess I got with the gas powered model, but it still had that solid power I needed to tackle really big jobs. I had a large enough extension cord that I could haul everything out to the front lawn if I had a really big job, and I didn’t have to worry about worrying about a messy gas can or that gas smell. Plus, it’s more environmentally friendly. The less gas we have to use, the less we’ll deplete the earth.
Just to be on the safe side, my chipper came with a warranty as well as a 90 day return period, if I had any problems. I didn’t need to worry about any of it, though, as the wood chipper worked perfectly. It conquered big jobs with ease, making no more noise than low powered generator.
Sticks and trees are gnawed into saw dust, perfect for mulch and compost. I can use my wood chipper any time I want, for any job that’s required, with no noise or fuss.
My neighbors definitely noticed. It’s easy to use, so I’ve lent it to a few neighbors who really liked the power and efficiency without all the noise. I usually don’t even know they are using it, besides the fact that they ask me if they can borrow it and it’s returned in a timely matter. I’ll assume the work got done, even if my nap was uninterrupted. Who I am to complain?
