The new Google Nexus 6 is said to be the best smartphone in the Nexus line yet, or at least that’s what all of the rumors and hype is saying about it online. So is it really going to be a phenomenal flagship smartphone featuring top of the line specs and design? Well, if it’s anything like the previous Google Nexus devices, then you can be sure it will not only live up to the expectations, but exceed them by a mile!
What We Know
Unfortunately there is still limited information released on the Google Nexus 6, but we thankfully were able to glean a few specs and features out of the rumor mill that was circulating.
First off, you can expect the Nexus 6 to feature a powerful quad core processing chip – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 to be precise – and be coupled with an Adreno 420 graphics processor for absolutely fantastic gaming and media abilities. With RAM sizes currently averaging about 3 gigs, the Nexus 6 will assuredly have at least 3 if not more. Additionally, you are looking at a smartphone with a projected 5.2 inch screen with an incredibly high definition display featuring a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels – that’s 534 pixels per square inch!
If you are interested in doubling your smartphone as your personal camera, then you’ll love the beautiful 13 megapixel rear camera that the Nexus 6 is reported to have. Additionally, the Nexus generation of smartphones always has fantastic software applications, especially when they are combined with Android operating systems which, fortunately for future owners, the Nexus 6 will be equipped with the absolute latest version of Android OS – Android 4.5 Lollypop!
Overall Opinion of the Nexus 6
While we have yet to hear about the design or its release date, the Nexus 6 seems like it’s going to be a hit so far. As long as it maintains those high standard specs like the 3 gigs minimum of RAM and the high quality main camera, you can expect buyers to be pleased.
For Google’s sake, we hope that it stays away from the accursed curved display and aims at a much higher resolution for a flat screen instead. Additionally, we hope that they include the fingerprint sensor that is being rumored about because Apple and other smartphone manufacturers have already realized that users want additional security so fingerprint scanners are the path towards the future!
Fortunately, we’ve still got much to learn so be sure to check back for updates and news as the release date approaches!
