Minnesota may not be famous for big-name race tracks, but racing fans still find their fun and excitement at some of the state's best tracks. The Arlington Raceway is located on the Sibley County Fairgrounds in Arlington. Its ½ mile dirt track is in its 27th year of providing fun and action for all age fans. There are six classes of cars in competition every Saturday night; Yellow Book Hobby, Liberty Station Hobby A, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, US Army IMCA Sprints and IMCA Modifieds. They host a wide range of events throughout their season including Demolition Derbies, IRA Outlaw Sprint to name a few. Tickets start at $ 10.00 per adult.

The Brainerd International Raceway and Resort is home to one of Minnesota's best and most versatile tracks. The track is 3 mile road course with high speed turns and a 1 mile straight racing. It also offers a world speed drag strip and grandstands to seat over 20,000 fans. Drag Racing is the heart of the BIR and for decades they have entertained fans with wheel-standing drag racing. On Wednesday nights you can get out of the stands and get on the track. Get in your motorcycle, street legal car or truck and try out your skills.

The Raceway hosts events such as the NHRA Nationals, Bracket Drag Racing, Performance Racing, Street Legal Series, Central Road Racing, High School Street Legal and much more. The Road course has ten turns that will challenge pro's as well as novices. The Porsche, BMW, Corvette and Road Racing clubs hold regular events on the road course. Have you always dreamed of getting behind the wheel for yourself? The BIR Performance Driving School and Donnybrooke Motorsports can make that dream a reality. The High Performance Driving School will take you from spectator to driver in no time and they offer a wide range of classes. Start with professional classroom instruction, followed by a driving tour of the track. Next you will suit up and buckle into a race car. Now, the thrill of the driving experience you will never forget!

There is a variety of class packages available starting at $ 295.00 for a single session. Discounts are given for multiple class sessions and for drivers with their own cars. Car enthusiast will enjoy touring the Ellingson Car Museum in Rogers. The museum will give you a nostalgic trip through history as you wander through cars, trucks, motorcycles and muscle cars from the 20's to the 70's. Videos, pictures and memorabilia are on display as well. Admission is $ 7.00 for adults and $ 3.00 for children.
