Electric Powered Cars Can Be Made Today
The TESLA is an electric powered automobile. It’s been cold tested at a frozen pond in Sweden. The company is based in San Carlos, California. A distant 244 miles per charge, and a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds makes this 288 hp. two-seater a wonder to watch and listen to. There are 200 already sold in the US and they produce 10 per week. It reaches 14,000 rpm and does 1-100 kilometers in 4, yes I said 4, seconds with no gas and a cool wizzing sound. It’s $ 120,000 now with a $ 60,00 deposit. Now I know GM and others have their own electric cars. We need something Americans and Canadians like that’s inexpensive and not small too. On March 26th Tesla unveils it’s 4 DR SDN for sale in 2011 at $57,000. Now were getting there!
Now here’s an idea. Invest in the infrastructure needed for massive electric powered vehicles. (Power stations, direct and fast road assistance, etc.) Tell the broke GM, Ford, and Chrysler executive that they must partner with Tesla as the lead on the All-American Car to outsell all cars by 2015. We can make them into individual models again when we develop the ability to make a $14,000 mid-sized car and truck and a 4wd truck version. It won’t roar like a V8 but might Wizz past it. Convert the auto makers plants by attrition to make the new Tesla America. Let’s go to the front of the pack again – start now – take your best auto dealers from all three big auto makers and give them more and more Teslas.
If the big oil gang wins this one in Washington, we are destined to stay on the same path as none of us is able to afford a decent and cost-effective car.
The Tesla is named after the genius who ushered in electrical power – Nicola Tesla.
