There is very little doubt that many people know that Wal-Mart offers many cell phone packages but in 2009 there was no Black Friday deal for cellular phones or related smart phones at this retailer. With millions of Americans dropping hundreds of dollars on a smart phone in 2010 it will be very interesting to see if Wal-Mart gets in on the act and offers Black Friday phone deals. With other major retailers such as Best Buy, HH Gregg and RadioShack offering many low-price cellular phone options it could be the case that Wal-Mart gets in on this industry as well.
When it comes to a Christmas gift idea in 2010 there is a very good chance that many people will look for a brand-new smart phone. With almost everyone wanting access to the Internet in the palm of their hand it is now the case that millions of people throughout the world have purchased a new smart phones such as an Apple iPhone 4, HTC Evo, Motorola Droid X or new Blackberry. With there being great profits made in this industry it seems to be the case that Wal-Mart and other major retailers would want to take advantage of these great Christmas gift ideas.
Over the last year Wal-Mart has aimed many deals with companies that sell smart phones and very advanced cell phones. It is currently the case that Apple and Wal-Mart have a deal to sell the Apple iPad. With this being the case one would think that Wal-Mart would take advantage of the many phone offers that are sure to litter the sales papers over the next several weeks. Before customers make any purchase of a cell phone in 2010 it is important to remember that usually takes a two-year contract to have any opportunity to save greatly on the cell phone deals.
This may be one of the reasons that Wal-Mart and other major retailers do not get into the cell phone black Friday sales opportunity. Many of the customers of this major retailer do not want to sign a two-year contract with any provider. With this being the case many of the cell phones that offer Internet access and Web browsing cost well over $200 or $300. The demographic that shops at this retailer does not want to pay this much for a cell phone especially as a Christmas present and 2010. With this in mind it will be interesting to see what happens on Black Friday this year.
