RV camping sounds like a blast, right? Road trips and camping are the biggest benefits of owning an RV.

You hit the road, and you enjoy the great outdoors while still having the indoor comforts of an RV with appliances.

Yes, it can be a blast, but there’s also tons of opportunity for things to go wrong. Especially if this is an extended trip.

Do you want to make your next RV trip a blast? Then here are some RV camping tips worth remembering.

RV Camping Tips

Whether we are discussing RV camping for beginners or we are discussing camping pros, these are the tips you should never forget:

1. Decide What Type Of RV You Want

There are several different types of RVs you can get. There are traditional motorized RVs such as motorhomes, and towable RVs. Anything from budget to desired campgrounds will play a role in determining which type of RV you will want.

Take a look at the options on RV Wholesalers. This company offers everything from motorhomes to park trailers to toy haulers.

2. Set A Budget

RV camping can rack up the dollars. RV campsites can cost anywhere from $30 to $150 per night depending on the site and the season. Then there’s anything from gasoline, grocery stops, dine-in fees, etc.

You want to have your budget planned out well in advance before these expenses catch you off guard. Research campsites and try to have a good supply of food on hand to limit your food bill.

3. Get The Tools You Need

The last thing you want is to have a breakdown or a defect and not have any tools on hand. Anticipate potential breaks in advance, and have the necessary tools on hand.

Important note: make sure you have tools unique to your rig. What’s more annoying than a breakdown with no tools at all? Finding out the hard way that you blew your money on the wrong tools.

4. Research RV Campsites In Advance

Look for good sites with all the hookups you need. While it is okay to use the free parking options, let’s be honest: you’re gonna want to empty the sewage at some point and you’re gonna want to bathe. Make sure you find affordable hookups with electricity, water, and septic tanks.

5. Be A Good Neighbor

Chances are you aren’t going to be the only RV camper at the campsite. Don’t park your car at midnight while people are sleeping, and be sure to be responsible for your own garbage.

And also, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and not be a shut-in. You don’t have to be best friends, but you could meet some interesting people on this road trip. That’s part of the adventure, isn’t it?

Enjoy Your Camping Time

Now that you have these RV camping tips in your arsenal, you can look forward to a fun and adventurous road trip in your RV.
