Looking for a treatment for a cold sore on tongue? These nasty little blisters can be a pain, especially when you are eating or drinking. The pain burns and can cause a lot of discomfort.

What is a Fever Blister?

When you develop a mouth sore on your tongue this is usually known as a canker sore because these types of blisters only affect the tongue, inner cheeks, inner lips, and inside the floor of your mouth. A cold sore usually only targets your lips and the roof of your mouth, but a canker sore targets your tongue.

Why Do We Get Canker Sores?

There is little evidence as to why we develop blister sores. The good news is that a tongue sore cannot be passed on to others because it is not a virus that is in the body. A canker sore such as a cold sore on tongue usually builds up because of stress. Ingredients in certain foods, mouthwash, and tooth paste also tend to cause these type of fever blisters.

Simple Remedies to Fight a Blister on Your Tongue

German Chamomile: This is an herb that has been just as popular as apple cider vinegar. It has the ability to cure several mouth infections such as gingivitis and sore throat. Along with its healing powers it also has the ability to cure fever blisters in your mouth.

Lady’s Mantle: This is another type of herb with healing capabilities. This herb can be found in a gel like substance in which you can apply to your canker sores one or twice a day.

Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 can be taken from over the counter at your local grocery store. When your body is low in B12 vitamin this can often lead to a weak immune system that won’t be able to fight off the development of canker sores.

As you can see, there are several ways to fight off a cold sore that’s on your tongue. The great thing about these remedies is that they are all natural and are low in cost.
