When planning your romantic Augusta getaway, or when just looking for a romantic getaway for two, there are fewer spots in Georgia that inspire a greater sense of love and passion than the Partridge Inn. Not only has this beautiful mansion inn stood for more than a century, it is embedded in the heart of Augusta’s history. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner with candles and champagne, or you want to take a tour of our nation’s history, the Partridge Inn is more than ready to meet your needs.
Augusta is known for its historical significance, and the Partridge Inn staff can direct you to any number of important and amazing sites. Come see the Historic Summerville District, which the Partridge Inn resides next to. Maybe you want a taste of Civil War history from the Confederate Powderworks, or you wish to see the former home of US President Woodrow Wilson.
If culture is your cup of tea, there is always the Morris Museum of Art and the Broadstrokes Gallery, as well as the Dunlap Studio and Gallery to provide hours of cultured entertainment. If you prefer your fun to be a little more fast paced, there is the Funsville Amusement Park, located a short seven miles from the Partridge Inn, or maybe you just want a calm walk along the Augusta Canal or a nice visit to Clark Hill Lake.
Whatever your outside interest, Augusta is not known for lacking entertainment, and that’s not even counting staying at the Inn. The Partridge Inn is romantic in its architecture. With renovations and additions going back a century, the front face of the Partridge Inn inspires images from 19th century Georgia, and a grand ambiance fitting for a building on the scale of the Grand Hotel of Mackinac Island.
Despite its being around for over a century, the Partridge Inn also offers modern amenities such as an outdoor pool and meeting spaces. Go for an evening dip in their romantic courtyard pool, or just cap off an intimate evening at their Award-Winning Verandah Grill.
For those looking for creative date ideas, consider their Moonlight and Romance package, which offers champagne delivered to your room, as well as flowers and keepsake champagne flutes. What romantic trip for two is complete without the right items for a truly intimate evening, after all?
For those looking to really pamper themselves, the Partridge Inn also offers what they call the Relax, Refresh and Rejuvenate package, which provides chocolates and chilled Chardonnay, upon arrival. Along with a romantic view from a grand balcony, you will receive a one hour professional massage.
Romance doesn’t have to mean international travel or breaking the bank. Consider booking a romantic trip to Augusta, Georgia. Even if you don?t stay at the Partridge Inn, Augusta is still full of surprise, romance and adventures that are waiting for you this holiday season. When planning your next romantic getaway, remember to keep Augusta in mind.
