The 2008 season will be the 43rd season for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL.
New Orleans Saints have been the archrival team of the Falcons.

There have been two players from the team to be inducted as Pro Football Hall of Famers. These players include 29 Eric Dickerson and 25 Tommy McDonald.
The team has retired six numbers so far, which include 78 Mike Kenn, 60 Tommy Nobis, 58 Jessie Tuggle, 57 Jeff Van Note, 31 William Andrews, and 10 Steve Bartkowski.
Seven players from this team have also been inducted with Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.

Georgia Dome

Before Georgia Dome, the Falcons had been playing all their home games in Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. They played here for a long period of 1966 to 1991. This is the same stadium that was known as the Atlanta Stadium during the period 1966-1976.
