Here are my NFL Week 13 predictions and I think I have put my very best effort into this week’s predictions for you.
These NFL Week 13 predictions are for Thursday, Dec. 3, through Monday Dec. 7.
Thursday, Dec. 3rd
New York Jets vs Buffalo
In Week 12, the Jets defeated the Panthers and the Bills are coming off a butt-whipping of the Dolphins. I think the Jets may be getting warm again in Week 13. The Bills fight against the run and do well against the pass. Sanchez probably looks for the Jets to run often and New York wins a close one 24-21.
Sunday, Dec. 6
St. Louis vs. Chicago
In 2009, the Bears are not exactly setting the world on fire, but the Rams are bad. It’s very seldom anyone talks about Stephen Jackson, even though he is one of the best players in the NFL.
In my view, Kyle Boller is really trying to prove he is a starting QB in the NFL. At running the ball, the Bears are last in the league, and they’re not much better at defending it, either. We all know that Jay Cutler has thrown too many picks, but he’s been decent at times. Either way, I like the Rams, in a slight upset, to beat the Bears 23-17.
New England vs. Miami
The problem for the Patriots might be the Dolphins and their wildcat formation. However, with the loss of Ronnie Brown, the formation has lost some of its potential. I couldn’t find any recovering theme from a great loss to the Bills. Here, my prediction is Patriots 31-10.
Philadelphia vs. Atlanta
In Week 12, the Eagles played a crumb and they just did get by the Redskins. In a win over the Bucs, Atlanta suffered a few injuries, including losing QB Matt Ryan. I think Eagles win 27-21.
New Orleans vs. Washington
It is better for the Saints to consider the Redskins as weighty guys because they have not yet given up on this season. I think this is a big mismatch and the Saints beat the Redskins 35-24.
Tennessee vs. Indianapolis
The Tennessee Titans are on a roll and Vince Young is really doing well. I mean he’s a new man, playing pretty smart and having productive games.
Peyton Manning is the best QB in the NFL and the Colts are undefeated, but Chris Johnson is the best running back in the NFL.
Oakland vs. Pittsburgh
I think even if the Steelers have to use Dennis Dixon again they will still win. My prediction is Steelers 24-10.
Denver vs. Kansas City
I think, Kansas City made a mistake in hiring the Coach Haley, but the interesting part of this game is Broncos desire to trade for Matt Cassel, who ended up in Kansas City.
I strongly believe that they did better in getting Kyle Orton and so Denver will beat the Chiefs 24–17.
Tampa Bay vs. Carolina
Two bad football teams battle it out when the Bucs come to Carolina to play the Panthers. Carolina has got a few injury concerns and has no passing game, but Tampa does not have much of a team, and the AFC South is a home-team-wins division. Carolina beats Tampa Bay 17-10.
Houston vs. Jacksonville
Both teams are coming off disappointing losses from last week. Houston has a decent team but can’t win big games. The Jaguars can play decent offense at times, but other times they show nothing. Houston defeats the Jaguars 21-17.
Detroit vs. Cincinnati
The Lions defense, especially their pass defense, is awful, but they have a decent offense. The Bengals beat powerful teams, but tend to have let down against fainter opponents. I think they beat the Lions 27-20.
San Diego vs. Cleveland
The Chargers fly east to Cleveland where they need a win to keep things rolling. Against powerful opponents, the Browns rise up to play well, but San Diego is really too good with Phillip Rivers leading them. Chargers 31-17.
Dallas vs. New York Giants
I think, the Cowboys can beat the Giants and take another step toward winning the NFC East. The Giants’ defense is good, but not great against the run or the pass.
Dallas has been playing well, but, under Wade Phillips, has often lost focus late in the season. Their offense struggled in losing to Green Bay and barely beating the Redskins. Dallas defeats the Giants 24-21.
San Francisco vs. Seattle
Alex Smith will have some decent numbers against the Seahawks as the 49ers win 24-14.
Minnesota vs. Arizona
Brett Favre has found the fountain of youth and may be the MVP. Of course, the Vikings also have Adrian Peterson and a nice defense. Vikes win 28-17.
Monday Dec. 7
Baltimore vs. Green Bay
I thought both the Packers and the Ravens would be better this season, but both teams have been flashes of average.
Green Bay is in the NFC playoff hunt and has a nice winning streak going. Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Grant are having good seasons and the defense is improving too.
