Have you ever been in this situation, It’s raining, a little windy, and chilly out but this is the big game and won’t be called off or rescheduled. Or perhaps it’s raining but you have already missed a few practices and can’t afford to miss any more. When these situations arise you just have to push on through. There is an item that can add a little bit of comfort to one of these miserable days though. That item is the sideline cape. Sideline capes are designed to keep in some warmth, so that while your players are not playing or practicing they can keep a little warm so there muscles don’t get worn out from shivering. Also sideline capes are waterproof, this will keep them dry so they aren’t soaked before they step out on the field. They help protect players against all the elements rain, snow, wind, and hurricanes. Just kidding, not hurricanes although I don’t think anyone has tested that yet.
The best part about sideline capes is that they are less expensive then buying parkas and you can customize them. They can be imprinted with your school name, team name or whatever you would like to put on them. Perhaps you have a sponsor who would like their name on them? They are available in many team colors giving you plenty of options.
The one that we recommend is the Morley# M19175 Sideline cape. These are made of a heavy 10 oz. vinyl over nylon which makes them waterproof. This one features two web handles inside that the player will use to keep the cape closed in the front. There are no pockets or front zipper closures so it remains pretty simple easy on, easy off. Also no personal belongings will be left behind in these team sideline capes. It has a big hood and is wide enough to accommodate helmets and shoulder pads for sports such as football and lacrosse. It does not have a lining so it can be used in a variety of temperatures. This one is also available in youth sizes so the little guys can also stay warm.
Sideline capes can be used for more sports than just football. You can use them for any outdoor field sport like lacrosse, football, and soccer where you might be playing or practicing on a not so nice day.
Before you run into a situation where your playing or practicing in bad weather buy your team some sideline capes. Trust me you’ll be glad you did!
