If you make a list of the best quarterbacks of all time it will be purely opinion. However, there are several great players that are almost certain to make every football fans top ten list. Here are four players that will be on most lists.
Joe Montana
Joe Montana was a winner and he proved it with four Super Bowl rings. On many occasions he brought his team back from almost certain defeat and looked like he was never bothered by pressure. Montana excelled when the going got rough.
Tom Brady
Tom Brady continues to play the game of football at a level that is above the rest. He is the only quarterback to lead his team to a 16-0 regular season record. In fact, no other team has ever finished a sixteen game season undefeated. Although the Patriots did not win the Super Bowl that year it is still an amazing accomplishment. Tom Brady also holds the record for the most touchdowns in a season. What many people believe makes him special is his ability to find many different receivers. Brady always seems to be in the right place at the right time and that cannot be attributed to luck or good fortune.
John Elway
For many years John Elway was the Denver Broncos. Without this man leading the team they were a middle of the road NFL franchise. John Elway made the Broncos a dominant team. In the early years they did not win their Super Bowl appearances. However, in the twilight of his career Elway had possibly his two finest seasons. Not many players can boast that they left the game at their peak but John Elway did just that. His team was at the pinnacle of success for his last two seasons and won back to back Super Bowl’s.
Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning has to be considered in the top ten of most people’s lists. He is a field general and takes complete control of the game when he is there. Manning has won the Most Valuable Player award a record four times and led the Indianapolis Colts to one Super Bowl win in 2006.
