The Apple Macbook Air Laptop is very much the latest breakthrough product from this company and is being classed the world’s thinnest laptop, it’s depth being about that of an average index finger. Wow.
This crazy little device has amazed most people in this world because when it is said to be thin, they mean ultra thin and because it is ultra thin it is of course ultra portable. Ultra thin here means 0.16 inches at it’s thinnest to 0.76 at it’s thickest! It comes with a 1.6 GHz or 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of memory, an 80GB 1.8-inch hard drive plus the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi technology and of course, Bluetooth. The LED screen is 13.3 inches boasting a panoramic view with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
Please bear in mind that this machine may lack some features that are important to some folk out there. For example, there is no optical drive, no FireWire, there is no Ethernet port, there is only one USB port, and the battery is non-removable. As said, these features may not be an issue for you, but I state it for clarity sake.
The Apple MacBook Air Laptop is absolutely one of the most stylish and sleek laptops around at the moment and features some excellent hardware in order to make it so thin, but this may not be the case for long as Intel themselves have said they will make the 60% smaller processor available to other laptop brands soon, so watch this space.
Though this gem is undoubtedly a consumer product, it is probably built more to be a business tool. After all, it is thin, light and portable plus it is a testament to what solid engineering and design can accomplish in a laptop computer. It is also tough and durable thereby able to withstand those awful accidents whilst on the go particularly so as it is protected by BodyGuardz.
All in all, simply an amazing piece of machinery. It is a tad on the expensive side so if you do decide to go for it make sure you don’t need the missing features mentioned above.
