iTunes Error 5002 is a common problem that’s caused by your PC being unable to correctly process the important settings & options that allows iTunes to download your songs / apps. The big problem that will lead this error to show will be that your PC will have Internet connectivity issues, or iTunes will be blocked by firewall options on your system. What Is iTunes Error 5002?
This error is basically the result of your PC not being able to open the files which it requires to process the store request you just made. The problem may be with the Internet connection you may have on your system, as well as having a large number of programs that will prevent this system from operating correctly. How To Fix iTunes Error 5002
The first step to fix this problem is to re-install iTunes, followed by ensuring your Internet connection is working fine, as well as then making sure that the iTunes program has sufficient privileges to connect to the Internet correctly. - Click Start
- Click Control Panel
- Click Add / Remove Programs
- Click Apple iTunes

- Let the program uninstall
- Restart your PC
- Download a new version of iTunes
- Install it again & test it out
Re-installing iTunes will basically allow your computer to replace all the files and settings which will allow this software to run, however, we’ve also found that using a program called a Registry Cleaner (we prefer using a tool called Frontline Registry Cleaner) is also an effective way to stop the 5002 error, as iTunes has a large number of settings stored inside the registry, which often become corrupted & damaged. By downloading a registry cleaner, installing it and then letting it scan through your system, it will clean out any of the problems that you may have on your system, which will boost its speed and effectiveness in the best way possible.
