Uber has suspended it's nascent self-driving vehicle program after California regulators revoked the company's car registrations.
The ride hailing company announced Wednesday that it pulled its self-driving vehicles off the road, explaining that the California Department of Motor Vehicles had revoked its registrations.
A statement from the DMV revealed that the agency revoked registrations for 16 vehicles.
Earlier this month, the company began testing self-driving vehicles in San Francisco. One of those vehicles was caught running a red light.
