Specifications: The new generation of Apple MacBooks have received raving reviews from critics around the world and receive many Editor’s Choice Awards from various prominent technology publications. One of their favorite models was the Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A 15.4-inch laptop.
The Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A has a 2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 processor. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB hard drive. It runs on the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard operating system and has a 15.40inch TFT screen. It is a LED back-lit and glossy screen, with a 1440 x 900 resolution. For graphics, it uses the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M graphics card.
Design: Like the new generation of Apple computers, the Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A is sleeker than the older models and have an uni-body aluminum casing. It is 14.3 x 9.8 x 0.9 inches in dimensions and 5.5 pounds in weight. Overall, it has a clean look, with the DVD SuperDrive on the right side and all the connectors/ports on the left.
Features & Performance:Although you can get a regular Windows OS laptop in the market with similar specs with a lesser price, let me just say straight out that the Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A performs much better than many other regular laptops of its class.
For starters, the built in battery in the Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A can last up to 7 hours on a single charge. We will be lucky to get 3 hours out of a regular laptop of this size. Running graphics ‘heavy’ applications and multitasking was also a dream on this model. The performance speeds in our tests were way better than any of the non-Apple laptops that we have tested. Currently, the Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A is priced at around $1699 each, a good price for a laptop of this stature.
