It didn’t take that long subsequent to the formal announcement of Apple’s newest list of models to its collection of iPhones before rumors started to kick into high gear for the iPhone 6. The iPhone 5s and 5c may have yielded high sales, but this success isn’t enough for people to let the imperfections of the latest handsets from the tech giant to just pass by. Mobile consumers are demanding the best handheld device there is. And in this light, the pressure is passed on to the iPhone 6. It is expected to deliver the unyielding demands of people for the company to continue its good standing.
One of the things in the latest iPhone models that didn’t quite work for people is its puny 4-inch display. Among the high-end smartphones available in the market today, it appears that the 5s has the smallest screen. More and more people are getting affixed to the concept of convergence, which is having a single device that can satisfy one’s every computing need, be it for plain communications, education, healthcare, entertainment, business, or anything else. And what more can be sufficient for an all-around gadget than a smartphone with a bigger display or phablet, so to speak.
There are speculations ongoing about the plan of Apple to come up with a 4.8-inch screen that will be incorporated into the iPhone 6, and this is according to Peter Misek, a well-respectable Apple analyst. Meanwhile, David Hsieh, an analyst at DisplaySearch, says that Apple is toying with two different display sizes for its upcoming iPhone 6. In his report, the company is testing both a 4.7-inch panel with 1,280×720-pixel resolution and a 5.7-inch display with a full HD 1080p resolution.
As of now, nothing is still certain on the screen size augmentation Apple is going to adapt. To start with, it’s too premature to conclude, considering that Apple has just announced just a month ago its brand new collection of iPhones. Furthermore, the plan is just undergoing the testing process. However, Ming-chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst who have accurately reported almost every single detail about Apple’s iPhone 5s and 5c months ahead prior to their formal launch, strongly believes that the iPhone 6’s display will measure between 4.5 and 5 inches diagonally. And because of this, the possibility for Apple manufacturing a genuinely cheap mobile phone has gotten more unlikely.
Just before anything else comes out of place, remember that these are mere speculations. As they say, “Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.” Anyway, in my humble opinion, whether or not the iPhone 6 will meet each and everybody’s expectation of a bigger display, it will still become a big hit on the mobile market. Who wouldn’t want to get their hands on the handset made by Apple-probably the greatest tech company that ever existed?
