How to add COVID pass to apple wallet in iPhone

With iOS 15, you can securely store verifiable versions of your COVID-19 vaccination and test result records in the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch. Vaccination and test result records downloaded in this verifiable format are signed digitally by a vaccine or test result provider. This is similar to providing paper documents with an official seal. Verifiable health records are indicated by a tick in the Health app. This means that the record has not been changed since it was created originally.

The feature is currently available for users in the U.S.A the UK, and Canada, among other countries, since iOS 15.1. iOS 15.4 now supports adding EU Digital COVID Certificates in the Health and Wallet apps. It supports the SMART Health Cards framework, which is an open standard for electronic medical records, created in response to Covid-19.

The process of adding COVID certificate to your wallet is simple. You need to point your iPhone’s camera to the certificate’s QR code and tap the yellow notification that will add the certificate to your Wallet and Health apps.

After you’ve added your vaccination card in the Wallet app, you can view and present it at any time. The front of the card displays your name, the vaccine type, the dates of the doses administered, the issuer and the QR code.

The full details of your vaccination card won’t be visible until you’ve authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID or passcode.

Your vaccination card can’t be shared with other iPhone, iPod touch or Apple Watch users.
