You've heard that you can watch movies on your iPhone, right? And you have all your favorite movies on DVD already. But how do you get your DVD movies into your iPhone?
There are a couple of different ways to convert your movie DVDs to your iPhone – a long, hard way, and a quick easy way.
If you do not use the easy 1-touch DVD to iPhone converter, you can still use free software you can find on the Net to convert your DVDs, but the task is a long, drawn out, complicated procedure. You need to locate, download, and install at least three software programs to enable you to complete your conversion. If you use a Windows operating system, this is the procedure:
Step 1. Use DVD Decryptor 3.5.4.0 software to rip the DVD movie files into a single .VOB file.
For better results, you need to have a fairly new DVD-ROM drive, and use DVDs that are new, clean, and have no scratches. If you try to use a scratched DVD, you may ruin your DVD-ROM. This part also uses up a lot of computer resources, so be sure to close every other program you possibly can.
Step 2. Use the Videora iPod Converter software to convert the .VOB file into a iPhone compatible MPEG 4 file. This software uses a Unix program in order to work, and requires the latest version of CYGWIN installed on your computer. If you do not have this, then you also need to get this one.
Step 3. Use the iTunes software to import the finished iPhone format into your iPhone.
As you see, each step of the converting process uses a different software to do that task. Learning the options in each software could take you a while, too. Once you understand what to do, then the process itself can take a couple of hours to convert each DVD movie.
So that was the long, hard way to convert your DVD movies to your iPhone.
