Gionee’s latest Marathon M3 running on android kitkat has 5,000 mAh battery and 33 days standby time

Gionee is not a popular brand globally, but it makes pretty good devices at a low price. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer has recently added Marathon M3 smartphone to it’s portfolio that boasts of a 5,000 mAh battery, 5-inch IPS/OGS Display screen with 720p resolution, Mediatek 1.3GHz Quad core Cortex A7 processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP back camera, 2MP front camera, WiFi, 3G, FM radio, A-GPS, Blueooth 4.0, digital compass, and a dual SIM card slot. Gionee Marathon M3 also has various sensors like proximity sensor, G-sensor, E-Compass, and Motion sensor.

he Gionee Marathon M3 also has a microSD card slot that can take up to 128GB storage so you can save a lot of songs, videos, and files. Phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. However it is not clear if this device can be upgraded to Lollipop when the new OS arrives.

What makes this more interesting in this device is the 5,000 mAh battery that gives a 32.8 days standby time. The highest we have seen so far is a 3,900 mAh battery on the DROID Turbo, Moto Maxx, and Huawei Ascend Mate 2. That’s pretty impressive for a low-priced phone but let’s see how long it will last if connected to 4G or WiFi all the time.
