And we got data to back it up!
The Pudding, a super cool journal of visual essays, recently analyzed data from Hater, the dating app that matches you with people who hate the same things you do. They looked at more than 30 million feelings towards more than 3,000 random topics, and here’s what they found:
Bravo
First, here’s a general list of things they found people loved and hated:
Food choices are also different with age. You’ll learn to love sparkling water in your late 20s, but you’ll start realizing eating bread before a meal is a trap!
Your love for celebrities changes as well. According to data, teenagers are into Guy Fieri, but 40-somethings have no love for Beyoncé.
Butt selfies and malls are cool if you’re a teen (???), but you’ll probably grow tried of both in your mid-twenties.
And if you ever find yourself in an awkward situation, like…say a first date with someone you met on Hater, you can always bring any of these polarizing topics up to make matters *more* awkward.
If you want to see more results, you can find the full report here.
