A 10ft trampoline may be the best size for your family if you have a small yard. Even though it’s not that much bigger, a 14ft trampoline can really take up a lot of space. Sometimes, just saving those four feet can make a lot of difference. They are still fairly large, and it can turn even the most boring of backyards into a great place for your kids to play. However, if you’re looking for a trampoline for a young gymnast, you should probably go with a larger trampoline even if your backyard is small. These trampolines are not really big enough for gymnastics practice.
Another thing to consider is the age of your children. Smaller children will have no trouble using a 10ft trampoline. In fact, if you can find an enclosure system, you won’t have to worry about them falling off, landing on concrete or the hard ground, and hurting themselves. However, as your children get older, you may find that they outgrow the trampoline. On the other hand, rather than needing to buy a brand new trampoline, you may find that as they get older, your kids no longer enjoy the trampoline, so a 10ft model may be the only one you need.
Another issue is how many people can jump these trampolines at once. Because it is fairly small, a 10ft trampoline is usually only large enough for one person to jump on it at a time. Check the instructions that come with your trampoline to see if there is a maximum weight limit to be safe.
Another thing to consider is that a 10ft trampoline may be harder to find than that of a 14ft trampoline. However, you may be able to find a great trampoline at a yard sale or in the classifieds. As they upgrade to a larger trampoline, many people will offer their trampoline to others for a very low price.
While it can be hard to find a small trampoline, it can be even harder to find a safety enclosure that will fit a this size of trampoline. Again, used enclosures are your best bet. You may also have to have a trampoline enclosure special-ordered from a sporting store.
