Risks of Infertility Treatment

Being a parent can be one of the most precious and fulfilling feelings in the world. Unfortunately a lot of couples have a hard time getting pregnant.

Infertility can have many causes. Some common causes among women include: diseases such as Endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, ovulation disorders and low progesterone levels. Men are not immune to infertility. Some common causes of infertility among men include: Low sperm count and low sperm motility, injury or chronic diseases, sperm blockage and aging. Being diagnosed with infertility can result in a flurry of tests and doctor visits.

Traditional infertility is based on pumping a women full of hormones in an attempt to make the most fertile environment possible. Treatments can leave many couples frustrated, broke and resigning themselves to being childless for life Not to mention the possible risks associated with fertility drugs.

The most prevalent risk of fertility drugs are multiple births. It has been shown that around 50% of couples who use fertility drugs whined up having multiple births. The human body is not designed to carry and birth multiple babies. This can put considerable risk on the mother to be. Studies have shown that overcrowding in the uterus often leads to early delivery, increased respiratory and digestive problems, neurological disorders, cerebral palsy, and mental retardation with blindness, chronic lung problems, and learning disabilities later on in life. There is some research that also shows that taking fertility drugs can increase a woman’s risk of ovarian cancer. Some other noted side effects include: abdominal or pelvic bloating or discomfort, nausea, breast discomfort, or problems with vision.

Research shows that 92% of couples who attempt traditional fertility treatments fail to conceive.

There is however a growing natural holistic movement that is a safe way to increase your chances. The holistic approach has been proven to be effective and dramatically increasing your chances of conceiving by focusing on repairing, purifying and optimizing your entire system – mind, body and ‘spirit’ of the couple.

Almost all infertility problems can be addressed by this holistic method but there may be some extreme cases that require fertility drugs, So before putting yourself at risk with traditional treatments give the holistic approach a try.
