Are you sick and tired of writing “invisible” content?
You spend hours and hours crafting a new article. Once it’s finished, you carefully edit it and even add a couple of expensive stock images. But once you hit the “publish” button… all you can hear is the sound of crickets chirping.
Nobody reads it.
What a waste, don’t you think?
But what if I told you there’s a way to attract literally thousands of visitors to your blog almost overnight?
Better yet, what if I told you that you can do it without even publishing a single piece of content on your blog?
Do you think I’m exaggerating? Well, you couldn’t be more wrong.
Guest posting is the most efficient way to drive insane amounts of traffic to your blog, and in this post, I’m going to show you how to do it the right way. Here you go:
Step 1: Find the most popular blogs in your industry — you can use tools like Buzzsumo.com and Alltop.com to see what are the top blogs in your industry.
Step 2: Find out the mass desire (or desires) that create your industry — based on their most popular content, what are the market’s primary desires? Do they want to lose weight? Do they want to make more money? Perhaps they just want to save money. Do they want to live a happier life? You need to figure it out because your guest blogging success will depend on your ability to write content that helps your audience satisfy such desires.
Step 3: Brainstorm topic ideas based on those mass desires — once you have identified the core desires of your market, start developing content ideas around those desires. You pitch these ideas to the blogs you found in step 1. For example, let’s say your market’s core desire is to lose weight. In this particular case, you could write headlines such as “How to lose 30 pounds in 20 minutes a day” or “13 Steps to Lose your Belly Fat (Even if You Hate Diets).”
Step 4: Contact the blog owners and tell them you’d like to publish a guest post on their sites — once you have a list of topic ideas (ideally 4), contact the blog owners you found in step 1 and let them know about your ideas. How? Just be yourself. Be direct and use simple language. Don’t try to impress anybody. Just let them know you have been following their work for a while and you think you could add some value to their blogs. If your ideas are good, most of them will happily publish your content.
Step 5: Write an amazing author biography and link back to your blog — once the bloggers give you the green light to start writing, don’t forget to link back to your blog in the author bio. If your content is good, many people will want to know more about you and will click that link. This is how you can drive insane amounts of traffic very quickly.
That’s all there is to it.
When you’re just starting, the dumbest thing you can do is to publish 100% of the content you produce on your own site.
Instead, you should focus at least 80% of your time posting content on other people’s websites. You need to leverage their audiences to build yours.
It’s the smartest approach you can take.
Anyways, it’s up to you.
