Sound Blaster Audigy – Keeping Up With the Future Sound of Computers

Sound Blaster is the sound card that replaced the standard setting which was the original Sound Blaster. Creative Labs produced this card in 1989, and sent the world into a multi-media frenzy, with audio capabilities. Keeping up with technology Creative introduced the Sound Blaster Audigy that fit the needs of computer users today.

MP3 listening via our computers is very common today, along with game playing experiences. This is all possible with 24-bit ADVANCED HD audio technology, and the Audigy support of multi-channel Surround Sound with 5.1 or 7.1 sound. The gamers experience is enhanced with EAX ADVANCED HD 3.0 sound effects and 3D positional audio with multiple speakers.

Stereo Sound is no longer enough for those who use our computers as our home entertainment centers. Today we want Surround Sound with multiple speaker setups. In order to do this, audio cards needed to be upgraded to be able to output multichannel audio to several speakers.

Software completes the Audigy package. Creative Software Suite has many features such as Creative Device Control, Surround Mixer, EAX Console, Wave Studio, Speaker Settings, Graphic Equalizers, Sound Font Bank Manager, Smart Recorder, Media Source Go!, Media Source Go! Launcher, Media Source Player and Media Source Organizer.

In order to use Sound Blaster Audigy SE there are a few requirements. You will need Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista along with Pentium III, Celeron 1 GHz or equivalent processor. Other requirements are an available 2.1 compliant PCI slot, 128 MB RAM, 600 MB available hard disk space, and a CD or DVD drive for installing the software and drivers. Lastly you will need amplified speakers or headphones to complete the process for quality listening abilities.
