How to Resolve Wing32 Dll Errors

Wing32.dll is a popular file that was used extensively in the 90’s to play games with the “WinG” framework. However, if you’re seeing these errors now, it’s a sign that this file is either unreadable, damaged or missing from your system. Fortunately, there’s a very simple way to fix this problem by using the tutorial below:

The first thing to do to fix this error is to replace any current versions of wing32.dll on your system with new versions of the file. To do this, you must first open up “My Computer” and then browse to c:WindowsSystem32. This is the folder where wing32.dll should be stored. If it’s on your computer, it will be inside here and you should try and locate it. If you find that there is a version of wing32.dll in this folder, rename is to wing32old.dll or similar. Then you should download a new version of this file and put it into the C:WindowsSystem32 folder.

If you do this and did not have wing32.dll already on your system, you should then click on Start > Run (or search for “Run” in Vista or Win7) and then type “cmd” in the run box that appears. This will load up the command prompt, into which you should type “regsvr32 wing32.dll” to register the file for use in your system. Do this and see if it works.

If this method does not work, you should then think about reinstalling the program that is having the problems relating to wing32.dll. Reinstalling a program will basically put fresh copies of all the files that the program needs – making the program run without any problems.

Reinstalling the program and replacing the wing32.dll file are the most common ways to fix this problem, but if you’re finding the error to still be an issue for your PC, you should then do some other things to make it run better. One of the most important things you should do is to scan your computer for viruses with an antivirus program. This is essential as it will clean out any viruses that could be infecting the wing32.dll file, causing the errors. Depending on which antivirus program you use, you could fix the error completely with it.

You should also look to clean out the registry. The registry is a database which Windows uses to store information and settings inside for your computer – allowing all the programs on your PC to read the settings they need from a central storage facility. The only problem with the Windows registry is that because it stores all sorts DLL file references for all the.dll files on your PC, if any references inside the registry become damaged or corrupted, then the programs on your system will not be able to read the files they need to run. This can be solved by using a “registry cleaner” program to scan through Windows and fix all the damaged & corrupted settings inside the database. This will be a big help to fixing the wing32.dll error if the other mentioned steps did not work.
