Valentine’s Day Gifts For Your In-Laws

Giving gifts to monster-in-laws errr mother-in-laws I meant is not commonly practiced by many maybe because the concept of valentine’s day is sharing love and affection solely to one’s spouse or lover bu this is all wrong. Because love is for everyone and so is valentine’s day. If you are not close to your mother-in-law but want to befriend her for the sake of your spouse and for peace sake then the right day is valentine’s day. Make your move. The first thing that your should do is ask your spouse what your mother-in-law’s favorite dessert and if you have the time then make her favorite dessert or you can order it from her favorite bakeshop. Then shop a little something for her that would brighten her day, here are tips on what to give to your mother-in-law this valentine’s day:

1. Personalized photo mats- you will be needing your spouse’s help with this project. Ask your spouse to get a copy of your parents-in-law wedding photo and have it framed. You can add a bible verse or a love quote just below the photo. Choose the appropriate photo mat that would fit best with the picture and the frame.

2. Necklace with her initials- a necklace with your mother-in-law’s initials on the pendant is another great idea to give to her on Valentine’s day. You can give this with a chocolate cake.

3. perfume- you can give her a bottle of perfume or perhaps a spray of her favorite cologne.

It is true that it is not the thing that matters most in gift giving but what is more important is that you exerted effort, time and love in giving. If you are in a tight budget and you have no time to go out and shop for a gift you can extend your love in other ways like giving your in-laws a call on valentine’s day and just talk to them. It might sound too corny for you but believe me, they will appreciate your call. Even old folks would want to feel important and special, one way of showing it is to give your time to them. You can also send over your homemade cookies or home-cooked meals to them but if distance will not permit you to do this you can just send them an email and chit-chat with them. If you have kids you can also let them visit their grandparents on valentine’s day and treat all of them to a fancy dinner.
