Some say chocolates are a woman’s best friend. Avoid the standard chocolate from your local pharmacy or convenience store and instead opt for something more exotic like chocolate covered strawberries.

By now you should know what shows your lady enjoys. Whether it be an opera, a music concert, theater or anything else, book ahead and make it special. Combine with a romantic dinner afterwards for best effect. Make sure you avoid the cinema even though you think she really loves movies. Cinemas are a no-go on Valentine’s day.

Compile a collection of her favorite songs and put it on an mp3 player. If she already has one, gift her with a digital photo frame instead. She’ll have a fun time viewing hundreds of mushy pictures of you two in different poses while she is at the office.

You can impress her with a romantic snack enjoyed on the beach while listening to the waves hitting the shore. The smell of the sea and the brightness of the stars can be intoxicating and is sure to make the evening that much special. Be careful to not get sand in the food and try to avoid the beach if it’s windy outside.

A love letter or poem

Women will love this show of emotion – regardless of whether you are actually good at writing. To give it an extra touch of class – have the letter/poem professionally printed on scented romantic paper and packaged to suite.
