During a press gaggle with reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer promised to provide a list to reporters of terrorist attacks that were not reported by the media.
According to the White House pool report, as provided to PoliticusUSA, Spicer said, “We’ll provide a list later. There’s several instances … There’s a lot of instances that have occurred where I don’t think they’ve gotten the coverage it deserved.”
They’ll provide the list later. First, the White House has to sit down and get Kellyanne Conway to remember more Bowling Green massacres that never happened.
President Trump got the White House into this latest mess by claiming during his speech at Centcom, “Isis is on a campaign of genocide, committing atrocities across the world. Radical Islamic terrorists are determined to strike our homeland as they did on 9/11, as they did from Boston to Orlando to San Bernardino, and all across Europe. You have seen what happened in Paris and nice. All over Europe, it’s happening. It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported. And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.”
Trump is now making up imaginary terrorist attacks that the media is refusing to discuss. The media will now hound the White House for the list. The White House will produce something that will prove nothing, and Trump and the Republican will waste more of their time chasing the President’s fantasies instead of actually trying to govern.
We’ve seen this script play out multiple times during the Trump administration. The big story isn’t that Trump lied. It is that Trump lied to frighten America, and is using the White House to validate his falsehoods.
