In any sort of recreational sports, especially extreme sports, there are bound to be risks and dangers involved and ATV riding is of no exception too. Do you really think that banning them from riding on the ATVs is the solution to all the ATV accidents that you hear and read about?

On a personal note, I don’t really think that banning our kids from ATV riding is going to do much – because it will only make them even more curious as to why you would never let them try to ride on one. It would make more sense to allow them to ride on one and at the same time teach them to be responsible riders. Yes, responsibility can be taught and children are able to learn real quickly too. I am sure that you know the rules of ATV safety – no pillion riding, no riding on adult ATVs if you are below 16 years old, no riding under the influence of drugs or alcohol, no riding on paved roads, always wear your protective gears, and the list goes on, so it’s your duty as a parent, to teach your kids about the safety of ATV riding.
