HTC announced its new flagship mobile the HTC ONE with a new trend setting camera technology which HTC calls as Ultra Pixel. HTC One features a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display of 1080p resolution (469 ppi) powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset (same as in LG Optimus G Pro) with a quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB RAM.
The camera sports a 4 Megapixel sensor and 1080p video recording (with HDR). The sensor which HTC uses is a special one with Ultrapixels, which are known to be much larger than the regular smartphone pixels and provides heavy improvement in per-pixel quality and low-light performance. The camera unit also features gyroscope based optical image stabilization and HTC’s ImageChip 2 for HDR, 1080p and 60fps video. But that’s not the end of HTC’s imaging focus. It’s also introducing a new feature / service dubbed Zoe, which allows users to capture and share short videos, much like Vine, via HTC’s dedicated site.
