So there are some people talking of an ACN scam, do they have a legitimate reason to do so? Or maybe they are from folks who aren’t keen on the MLM business model?

Lets take a look at exactly what the real deal is here.

American Communications Network are a telecommunications company providing a digital telephone service complete with video phone, they also provide broadband as part of their service portfolio. You can make money by selling the services to customers and also by building a team of distributors underneath you. We must remember that there is a genuine service being provided. We can obviously take comfort in the fact that this rules out ACN being any sort of ponzi scheme. For anything to be an illegal pyramid system there are no actual products being provided, the only money earned is for recruiting into the system.

There are some more things below to think about when evaluating ACN

The company is well endorsed by Donald Trump, founder of The Trump Network. Now given Donald’s popularity and reputation in the business world, I can’t see him ever associating himself with anything short of 100% legit. American Telecommunications Network are not flying solo in providing their services but have joined forces with other big providers like, Dish Network, Direct TV, T-mobile and Sprint. This is good for the customer on the first hand, as the service they receive is likely to be top notch. I also don’t think that such companies would team up with ACN is they thought that they were in any way ripping people off

Robert Stevanovski, Greg Provenzano, Mike & Tony Cupisz were the guys who started up the company, they’ve all previously been successful in MLM. The company is based in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Based on the evidence available I can’t see how ACN could possibly be classed as a scam, but obviously some folks can!

It seems to me that ACN scam stories could be fuelled by the marketing activities of some distributors. It’s a common problem in the Network Marketing industry; these opportunities are often marketed in such a way that seems to promise easy, fast wealth. Many people will buy on the impulsive of quick wealth only to find out 2 or 3 months down the line that the dream they were sold hasn’t materialised. Most Network marketing companies are only giving basic coaching to their new distributors which rarely extends making a warm list and prospecting friends and family. It takes a bit more than that to succeed in this industry.

It is unfortunately true that the majority of people will not make it to the top of the compensation plan. Network Marketing isn’t a silver bullet industry, it does take a lot of work and you need to be willing to network with people. For a lot of people their main problem is getting enough people to talk to about their opportunity. Network Marketing is definitely a numbers game; you will go through a lot of ‘no’s’ before you get to a ‘yes’. Particularly with traditional marketing methods it can be difficult to generate enough leads. I had exactly the same problems in my home business for quite a long time.

However its possible and not that difficult to generate unlimited prospects using some simple methods and leveraging the power of the internet.
