If you live in the Eastern parts of the U.S. and you are considering a casino job, Atlantic City may be the first thing that comes to mind. When you think of casinos in Atlantic City, Donald Trump is at the top of the list. The second largest gambling city has endless opportunities. Some have training programs, internships, and hands-on training. Besides working on the casino floor bartending, waiting, or dealing, there are many other employment opportunities available, some of which require extensive knowledge and/or degrees.
Trump Entertainment Resorts, comprised of Trump Plaza, Trump Marina and Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic runs a tight ship and offers many opportunities to work your way up the corporate ladder. They offer an excellent three-month internship program.
Internship positions are paid $10.00 per hour. Interns receive free meals during their scheduled shift. They are provided free uniforms and free dry cleaning (for required positions). They are also offered cash scholarships for the top students at the end of the program.
The Trump Mentoring Program provides seasonal positions in which you will received 2.5 hours of voluntary training classes (finance, interviewing, customer service, and marketing), and you will be working up to 40 hours per week. This is an eight-week program, which begins in early June. There is limited housing available at a minimum cost for those living over two hours away.
This is a great way to get your foot in the door of one of the top-notch groups.
There are requirements, which include:
1. You must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, undergraduate or graduate.
2. You must pass a drug test.
3. Proper Identification as verification of employment.
If you are lucky enough to get on board with Trump Entertainment Resorts, just a few of the benefits include direct deposit, free parking, employee assistance program, health benefits, free employee cafeteria, credit union, tuition reimbursement, holiday and summer parties, 401K retirement program, personal days, vacation days, health benefits, sick time and other activities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Getting a job running a game at a casino requires applicants to secure state licensing everywhere in the U.S. Obtaining a dealer license will always require a criminal background check to determine eligibility. There may also be a financial background and tax status check run. The specific requirements in any given state will vary. The casinos themselves can have their own standards as to financial reporting.
