There is almost nothing in this world that can beat the fun out of having your own Christmas party right in your very house. But, even though you are probably already having a blast in your house by having a large gathering party during the Christmas day, why not extend it a little bit more by adding some fun games on top of that. There are quite a few games that you can have fun with along with your family and party guests while opening all the gifts and enjoying the buffet throughout the day.
You can call this the “Santa hat” game. Start by giving everyone that come to your party a Santa hat. This kind of hat is pretty inexpensive and the cost per hat is usually around $1 or so at the dollar store, some of the sellers even give you the opportunity to buy them in bulk causing the price goes even lower. When everyone has arrived and the party is about to start, you can tell all the people to wear their Santa hat during the party. The scene in the party hall will be quite exquisite and filled with Christmas spirit when everyone wears their hat.
However, in this game the rules are a bit different, instead of picking a winner you need to pick a loser among all the participants. The main objective of this game is to remove your hat during the party and a person who still wearing a hat after the game is over will be declared as a loser. There will be times when people are so wrapped up and get real busy with what they are doing in the party like conversing with other people, eating some food at the buffet, or even taking care of their younger children. These various activities will make them easily forget to put off their hat and end up being the loser.
Once the losers are announced, there are some interesting choices you can do to them. One option is you can unite them into a group and tell them to sing a song related to Christmas event. You can also involve the rest of the party guests (the winners) to decide what to do with the losers. Another fun option which you can do is to divide the losers into two dance groups and tell them to dance in front of the party hall while at the same time competing with the other loser group. It will be a lot better and motivating if the group winner of this little dance competition receives a prize for their performance.
