MacBook Pro MB470LL-A 15.4" Laptop Review

[ad_1]

If you love Apple Macbook designs and have a bit of extra cash to spare, then you should get it for yourself. Whether it is a laptop, a desktop and an MP3 player, all Apple machines are head and shoulders above other computer models in many ways. Of course, the fancy features do come with a huge premium (a bigger price tag).

Its aesthetic exterior does hide many wonderful features on the inside. First of all, it is powered by the 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor (1066 MHz front-side bus and 3 MB L2 cache) with 250 Gb of hard drive storage. It also comes with NVDIA GeForce 9400 graphic card and 2 Gb of DDR3 RAM (supports up to 4 Gb).

Weighing a little bit above 5 pounds, this laptop is pretty light for a 15″ model. Like all latest MacBook models, it has an exquisite 15″ glossy LED display and a light aluminum frame. Glare is occasionally an issue but reorienting the laptop slightly minimizes this inconvenience. The display is beautiful, surely in keeping with the overall quality and product design. Despite feeling a bit lighter than usual, it feels durable and very solid.

It also has a larger glass track pad and supports Apple’s multi-touch feature. It uses a new lithium-polymer battery that can give up to 5 hours of normal works on a single charge. Its keyboard also sports a few new features. Typing for an hour on it feels really comfortable and the back-lights help you type in dark places.

However, it has a really steep price tag. But, is it worth the price? Some features on this model are available on many cheaper types (from other brands) in the laptop market. The premium price tag to get a MacBook will be for the priceless ‘cool-factor’, user-friendly interface, and the cutting edge design.

Many users would appreciate getting more than two integrated USB ports, although you can migrate a few devices to FireWire. Also, the base front edge can be a bit too sharp for resting your wrists or hands. Lastly, you may find it irritating to buy a separate $15 adapter cable just for connecting an external VGA monitor.
