Tech giant Apple is working with Intel to manufacture a 1.5-inch OLED screen iOS watch a Chinese gadget blog has claimed. According to the report, the Bluetooth watch would debut sometime in the first half of 2013. Consumers have previously used the sixth-generation iPod Nano as a watch, with third parties producing wristbands for the product.
In a report translated into English, the website said that the watch is expected to be listed in the first half of next year.
It cites insiders as saying that the new watch will be able to pick up calls from the iPhone – a feature current smart watches such as the Sony SmartWatch don’t have. TGBus adds that the company has chosen the first half of next year to debut the product because no other products in the Apple ‘community’ are due for launch at that time.
