With all the craze on Vampires lately, this ties in nicely.
OK, I'm in a house living with two other housemates.
I've walked in on their conversation.
"How can an employee be honest if his boss is breathing down his neck to up sale, up sale, up sale?" With each 'up sale' the voice rises. Staying at this new volume he continues.
"They are not going too, the boss pays them, they'll listen to the boss and become corrupt!" A new higher and louder volume follows this.
"Now these young impressionable kids are becoming like their bosses, not caring about the customer and adding every gizmo imaginable to the sale."
As I pass to get my drink I stay a bit longer to see what they were talking about. At this point I'm asked by the other housemate, "Have you ever had problems with the Geek Squad?"
"No." I replied.
"I've always had great experiences at Best Buy." I had continued, "I took in my old laptop because it wasn't keeping a charge on the battery. They told me they couldn't help me because the battery for the computer I was looking for wasn't sold anymore. they were quite honest they didn't try to sell me anything else either. "
Apparently the person complaining didn't like this answer, because the rant continued.
"They try to sell you everything in one computer. Nothing on it's own. They have to throw in advertising of every form on the computer, upload this, upload that, this will help you, this will help the computer, blah, blah blah . "
By this point I was truly wondering who brought what upon themselves. The person in front of me or the customer service representative who had to deal with him. It was at this point I began to realize I was feeling depleted, like all my energy was being sucked out of me.
I then said back to him, "You should just go buy an iMac, it seems to be less of a headache, that's why I own one." And left the room.
As I was walking up the stairs I thought to myself, "Energy Vampire."
I wasn't going to stay in a negative situation. He obviously would never agree that he could change the situation, I'm a firm believer in the law of attraction. This person attracts these situations to himself and he doesn't even realize it. If you pointed it out to him do you think he would agree? My guess is no. He's so stuck in the negativity of life he can't see the other end of the spectrum, or if he could, he'd believe he could never feel that all the time.
It's a shame that people who are so lost they can't see their own personal potential. To even glimpse what life could be. Our lives are meant to be abundant, and to me negativity isn't abundance, happiness is. What makes you happy?
On my way up the stairs I found what I was going to write about, energy vampires, their all around us, do you put up with them?
