If you see a black line running down the center of your document when printing from your Dell all-in-one printer, give this method a try. Open and leave the upper cover up. Run a copy now and carefully check whether the fluorescent scanner light looks evenly bright or not. If it does not, replace it. If it does, check the photo assembly. If it's bad, it needs a replacement. The photo assembly is responsible for receiving images.

If your Dell all-in-one printer no longer prints in black & white since you want it to, try this method. Right click on the Dell printer software on your computer and select Properties. Click the Advanced tab and then click More Options. Under the header Complete-A-Print, uncheck the box below Use color cartridge for all black printing.
