Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Overview – Excellent Laptop With Sharp Display and Intel Core I5 Processor

If you’re looking for a premium 2-in-1 laptop with tons of great features, the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 is the way to go. It’s affordable (less than $800), and features a nice aluminum design which includes a brushed-metal lid and shiny beveled edge.

It’s a fairly light 2-in-1 at 3.4-lbs and.8-inch in thickness. According to Dell, the 7000 has a battery life of 12-hours. However, if you stream multimedia and do a lot of browsing, don’t expect it to last for more than six or so hours. Still, this is a bit more than what the average convertible PC/tablet has to offer in terms of battery life.

The display is a nice, attractive 13.3-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 1920×1080. Both photos and text look sharp and crisp, as the display offers good contrast and color saturation. It’s bright enough for use in most indoor environments, including dim rooms.

The backlit keyboard is nice as well. It’s designed for comfortable typing enables speedy input. There is only 1.3-millimeters of travel between the keys. The 4.2-in. x 2.6-in. touchpad tracks digits accurately and provides a solid feel to clicks. Since it’s a 2-in-1 unit, it has a touchscreen and can be used as a tablet. Like the trackpad, the touchscreen accurately tracks the user’s fingers. Want to hook it up to an HDTV so the entire family can enjoy Netflix or YouTube? It comes with an HDMI port. If you need VGA connectivity, it’s compatible with HDMI to VGA adapters.

In addition to the HDMI port, you will also find a USB Type-C port, USB 3.0 port, the headphone/microphone jack, and a power jack on the left side of the Dell Inspiron 13 7000. On the right side, there is a USB 2.0 port, Noble lock slot, and the power and volume buttons.
