My newly bought MacBook pro suddenly turned into snail speed, I know some of you may think that I must have been over using it or did some silly thing to it, I can tell you that I’m a kind of person who’d always look after my gear, so, why does my MacBook pro suddenly became so slow?

When that slowness happened to my MacBook pro, I tried everything that have been suggested it by others, but it did not work! I was over my head, because I need it for work the next morning! And if I go to my repair guy, the first thing he may say is that: “you have burned your hard drive”, or, “your hard drive needs to be replaced”! (you know, these guys would grab every chance to squeeze $$$ out of your pocket).

I really did nothing crazy to my MacBook pro, the only thing I did was uninstalling some applications and set up the user account. At that time, I thought that might be the cache problem, so I cleared all the caches in the folder, I even did the disc permission repair but nothing seemed to work. Time went by, it was three o’clock in the morning, my eyelid began to collapse. So, my final problem solving method was, to reinstall the damn thing! I pulled out the manufacture installation disc that came with the box when I bought the MacBook pro, pop it into the DVD drive, pressed install, then, I grabbed the chance to take a nap, 60 minutes later, the installation was done, reboot, and WOW~! my MacBook pro became alive again, super speed!!

My final note: whenever you are going to make a system installation, always back up your important files, it is better safe than sorry!
