The use of amplifiers in the car audio systems is to aims to strengthen the voice signal coming from the main source or head unit and then be piped to the speakers.

Class B: Did not generate excessive heat and not wasteful of energy, but can produce a pretty good sounds.

Class AB: It is the most widely used by car audio player, an amplifier combination of class A and B, so it can be more efficient and flexible for use in the car audio system and have a better quality of class B.

Class D: This species is the most widely used to drive a subwoofer and used to the concept of SPL (Sound Pressure Level), because the class D amplifier has the power (Watt) are large and able to bear up under 1 ohm, so it can produce a more dynamic bass sound and usually it is the type of class D mono block amplifier.

Tube: This type of amplifier can produce better sound quality with the character of a vowel sound more natural, not thick and stiff / dry, but the type of tube amplifiers, generally have a very high price for belonging,

With the big difference in quality, character and components of each type of amplifier, proving that quality amplifier can also determine the character and quality of sound produced in a car audio system.

Before buying the amplifier follows a few tips on selecting amplifiers (audio cars):

1. Select amplifier with large RMS (watts) and small THD.
2. Design and materials quality and equipment also must be considered.
3. Adjust power / RMS amplifier with the speaker needs to be used.
4. Power amplifier shall conform to or greater than required speakers, because if the power is smaller than the needs of the speakers, it can cause damage to the speakers used, because of the ‘signal clipping’.
